How to Get Pixel 10’s New Ringtone Interface on Older Pixels

Google’s Pixel 10 series introduces a redesigned ringtone and notification sound selector, featuring Material 3 Expressive design elements for a more modern look. This update changes how ringtones and folders like My Sounds and Pixel Sounds are displayed, moving from a simple list to a grid layout for easier navigation. The new interface is part of the Pixel Sounds app version 3.3, released alongside the Pixel 10 series. While it’s exclusive to Pixels, the updated APK is already available via APKMirror, meaning any Pixel running Android 16 can experience the refreshed design (via Android Authority).

The update also includes subtle yet useful UI tweaks, such as pill-shaped highlights when selecting tones and an animated waveform preview within the list view. If you exit without saving, you’ll see an “Unsaved changes” warning and get options to either keep editing or discard the changes. Notification sounds now share the same design improvements as ringtones, giving the entire sound customization experience a cleaner and more expressive look. Although functionality remains mostly the same, Pixel 10 users will also enjoy brand-new ringtones and notification sounds exclusive to the flagship.
